Very nice table lamp

I keep it behind the laptop to provide additional illumination at night, in addition to my normal table lamp. I suppose it could also work as a nightstand lamp. What I do not like is the touch-switch on the cord. Why couldn't the manufacturer integrate the touch-switch into the base? It's 1-inch thick already. At the very least, they could have placed the switch closer to the base, not 10 inches away from the base. In this regard, the ergonomics of the lamp are compromised. Otherwise, I like it.
